developed, prototypes are designed and what starts off as an idea eventually becomes reality. Angry Birds is an ideal reflection of what ideas brought to fulfillment offer. Angry Birds is a video strategy puzzle developed by Rovio. It was inspired by a sketch of wingless birds and was first released in December 2009 for Apple iOS. Since it was first released, more than 12 million copies have been bought from theApple App Store.

Since it was first introduced in the market, the developers have released special editions for the purpose of ensuring that players enjoy the games fully and some of these include the following. Angry Birds Rio: This was launched in 2011 March and is based on an animated 20th Century Fox Rio film. In this case, the characters of Angry Birds appear and interact with the film characters. It initially came with two chapters titled ‘Smugglers Den’ and ‘Jungle Escape. Later more were added and these include ‘Beach Volley’, ‘Airfield Chase’ and ‘Carnival Upheaval’. Angry Birds Space: This was another addition to the Angry Birds franchise and it was launched in 2012 March 22. It came with elements and features of the preceding game and initial 60 levels that had extra levels availed as in-app purchases and free updates. This was launched on android, iOS, PC and Mac. Later on, Windows phone release followed. Angry Birds Special Seasons: Released in 2010, this comprises Halloween edition. It is exclusive is exclusive to iOS and has a separate application that is different from the main game. It includes Halloween theme graphics and music. In December 2010, Rovio released the same to Symbian 3 devices and Android.

How to Play

Players are supposed to use a slingshot when playing Angry Birds. Using the slingshot, they launch the birds at pigs stationed within or on different structures. This is with the intent of destroying the pigs on the playing field. As a player moves from one level to another, new birds that have special abilities appear though they have to be activated by the player. Rovio has supported Angry Birds with different types of free updates and add-ons that increase the game content and what is more, they have released some stand-alone promotional versions and holiday games. Angry Birds has received a lot of accolades for combining addictive game play, low price and comical style in the game. Because of its popularity, there are versions of the game created for personal gaming consoles and computers.
